Everything you need to put our name on something.
Logos to download, the palette with the numbers that decide where each colour may go, the typeface, and the two agents the company is named after. If you are writing about us or building something with us, take what you need from here.
Three forms, three finishes, nine files.
Every one is an SVG, so it stays sharp at any size. The wordmark is drawn as outlines rather than live text, which means it looks the same on your machine as it does on ours whether or not you have the typeface.
Primary
The full lockup. Use this wherever it fits.
Compact
For narrow places. The site swaps to this below 480px.
Symbol
The scope on its own. Avatars, favicons, app icons.
Clear space. Leave at least the height of the badge on every side. Smallest size. The primary lockup stops being legible below about 140px wide; use the compact form under that, and the symbol on its own below 60px. Do not recolour the mark, stretch the lockup, put the colour version on a busy photograph, or rebuild the wordmark in another typeface.
Click any colour to copy it.
Every ratio here was measured against the surface the colour actually sits on, not against white. That is what decides whether a colour may be a label or only a fill, and it is the one rule in this palette that is not a matter of taste.
Core
The violet is the brand. It is text only on the two lightest surfaces; everywhere else it is a fill, a border or a mark.
-
Accent violet
--accent
Fills, marks, and text on canvas and canvas-2 only
-
Accent hover
--accent-hover
Primary button hover

Accent active
--accent-active
Primary button active, and the focus ring
-
Light violet
--accent-light
Dark surfaces only. 2.61:1 on light, so never text there
-
Ink
--ink
Headings and body, 16.88:1 on canvas
-
Muted
--muted
Secondary text, 6.85:1 on canvas
Surfaces
Five grounds, each a measured step from the last, all in the same hue family so the steps survive a poor screen.
-
Canvas
--canvas
The page
-
Canvas 2
--canvas-2
Alternate bands and the closing band
-
Canvas 3
--canvas-3
Ladder rows
-
Canvas 4
--canvas-4
Ladder today bar
-
Dark
--dark
Dark bands and the logo badge
-
On dark
--on-dark
Text on dark, 18.12:1
-

--on-dark-mute

-
Rule
--rule
Hairlines on cards and dividers. Never a control outline
-
Button outline
--btn-outline
The secondary button's outline, and nothing else
-
Tint
--tint
Tint fills. The violet is 4.29:1 here, so never a label on it
Departments
One colour per department. Every one of them is a fill, a border or a bullet, and never a label: as text on its own tint they run 1.5 to 4.4:1. On the solid colour, ink is 3.4 to 10.7:1, which is why the agent badge is ink at 20px weight 900.
-
Sales
--dept-sales
Ink on it, 3.42:1, large text only
-
Marketing
--dept-marketing
Ink on it, 6.48:1
-
Finance
--dept-finance
Ink on it, 10.74:1
-
Operations
--dept-operations
Ink on it, 9.64:1
-
Customer
--dept-customer
Ink on it, 6.58:1
-
People
--dept-people
Ink on it, 9.63:1
Inter, three weights, nothing else.
Served from our own host, so the pages make no request to a font service and look the same on every operating system. Weight 900 for display, 700 for headings and emphasis, 400 for everything else.
Every agent comes with a second agent watching it.
Butler does the work. Hardy makes sure it is safe to let him.
And the costs that come to you, not to us.
An agent that can read an inbox, understand it and draft a decent reply is no longer remarkable. What is not solved is everything around it: who signed it off, what it did at three in the morning, and what it costs to run in March.

Two completely different roles.
Hardy is the black shirt, Butler the white one. Hardy keeps it safe, Butler does the work. If you are writing about us, please keep that straight.
-

Hardy
Checks every action against the agreed rules, keeps the record, and gives your team a way to stop the agent.
-

Butler
Does the work. Reads, sorts, analyses, drafts and prepares, then waits to be checked.
How to write it.
Hardy & Butler
Ampersand, not "and", in the company name. Both names capitalised. In running prose "Hardy and Butler" is fine when you are talking about the two agents rather than the company.
The legal name
Hardy & Butler is a trading name of Stride Consultancy Partners Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16218979. Registered office: Acorn House, Dog Lane, Kelsall, Tarporley CW6 0RP. Use the full form on anything contractual and the trading name everywhere else.
What we do, in one line
"Hardy & Butler designs, builds and runs AI agents for British businesses, with an oversight layer that gates every agent, logs it and can stop it." Take that verbatim if it is useful.
If something here is out of date
Email hello@hardyandbutler.ai and we will fix it. This page is generated from the same values the website itself is built from, so it cannot quietly drift from what is live.
Tell us about those tasks that never land on time.
You do not need to know what an agent is, how it works, or which one you need. Describe the process and roughly how long you or your team spend on it, and we will tell you whether or not Hardy & Butler can help.
